A while later, Ashley and I started having some problems. We just kept fighting. Nothing was going right. She was constantly getting angry with me, for no reason that I could see. Most of the time we would get short with eachother. Because we couldn't be together I guess.
Like right now. As soon as Ashley picked up the phone I thought, here we go around again! But I couldn't ignore Ashley. I figured I would just talk to her for a while and then make up some excuse to get off the phone. "I just can't take this long-distance thing." she said "Ashley! It's only long-distance for a few months. Then when I get back, we can pick up right where we left off." "But your not going to be the same. Fame is going to change you." "Ash, we aren't famous. We haven't even started recording yet. We are still WRITING!" "Hmmm" was all she said "Well, I have to go. I'm supossed to be watching the girls." "Where is everyone else?' "Mom and dad took Zac and Mackie to the zoo. And Issac met some girl named Trinity. They went out somewhere." "Well," she said sheeplishly "I could come over...oops...nevermind." "I wish you could come over!" "Whatever" -CLICK-
I sighed and hung up the phone. I turned and looked out the window and I remembered how Ashley and I were when we first met. I'm dying inside. I know the way it should be. It should be like when we first met! "Whoa! Song!" I had just gotten a great song idea in my head. I rushed to get it down on paper, before I forgot it.
Out my window, A memory, I'm dying inside, I know the way it should be, It's not just me, Baby you feel it too, You know I belong with you...
After about 2 hours, I had the whole song done. I wasn't to sure about the chorus: Oh my Ashley, here we go around again. And I wasn't sure how it would go to music, but I liked the way it sounded on paper. The only part I didn't like was the Ashley part. Well the whole song was about Ashley. I meant the part where it says her name. The chorus. It just didn't sound right.
"Taylor!" came Jessica's voice from upstairs "What?" "Come here." "Why? I'm busy." "What are you doing?" asked Avery, looking down at me . "Writing a song." "Another one?" "Yeah." "C'mon. Take a break and watch TV with us." "Please?" asked Jess "Fine." I said as I plopped down on the couch next to her. "What are we watching?" "Madeline." (Mada-line) "I always thought it was Madeline (Madal-in)." "Nope."
We watched the cartoon, but I wasn't paying much attention. I kept turning the "Ashley" song over in my head. But I kept messing up and put Madeline (Madal-in) in place of Ashley. It stuck.
